Workers started to dig new drainage ditches on March 12, 2012, to remove the standing water that covered the flat areas of the LACUS LLC properties. The digging of the ditch has continued over several days. These images show the workers and the discharge of sediment-laden water flowing into Kaelepulu Wetland Bird Preserve.

They also re-dug and deepened the drainage ditch that was made by LACUS LLC’s workers in March 2011. (Click to see March 2011 trench)

There are no BMP’s in place to prevent sediment run-off from the property. Click on a photo to enlarge it.
